What can you see in Summer?
The sun has got his hat on hip-hip-hip hooray, the sun has got his hat on and he’s coming out today!
What can you see in summer? What can you smell?
Hello everyone! If you haven't guessed already our final project of the year is 'Summer Fun'. During this project, we will explore the questions above, the changes that happen in the natural world and things people do during the summer months. This project will run from Monday 1st June until Tuesday 21st July. During the project, there will be opportunities to explore staying safe in the sun, signs of summer, summer holidays and natural seasonal changes. The children will use their creativity to plant and paint sunflowers, design and create sunglasses/ flipflops and design and make ice cream!
Please see above for the knowledge organiser for this project with all the knowledge we want the children to be able to recall by the end of the project.
Mrs Keefe and I love seeing you all on Tapestry and Twitter. Please keep sharing what you are doing at home and keep smiling!
Even though we are back at school with some children, we still miss you all a lot and I have really missed seeing what you have been up to recently! I would love to see Tweets go through the roof again. Remember- you could just write to me, it doesn’t always have to be pictures! If you aren’t a fan of Twitter, you can email pictures of what you have been up to or your work to firstname.lastname@example.org. Finally, if technology isn’t your friend (sometimes it doesn’t like me either) then you can print off your work or pictures and post it to us or if you live close enough, post it through our letterbox yourself. I can’t wait to see this awesome work!

Virtual Sports Day
We are all really excited to be taking part in a Virtual Sports Day. This will commence on Wednesday 1st of July until Monday the 13th July. We would like all teachers and children to take part in these challenges at home or whilst they are at school in their own bubble.
We challenge all children to complete the challenges and try their best to get as many points as possible for their House Team; we want every child to have the opportunity to take part. The challenges can be completed at any time in the 13 day period but the deadline will be 3.30 pm on Monday the 13th of July. Like any other sports day, you will be competing against all the other houses to see who will be crowned winners of Sports Day 2020!
On your marks, gets set, go! Watch this video below from Mr Hopper below to see him demonstrating all of the challenges, as well as trying his best to complete. Who is up for the challenge? Submit your scores and post your videos on Twitter.
There are 8 challenges which require little or no equipment to complete – perfect for completing at home! If you need any more help, to see the rules for each challenge or how to submit your results look at the PowerPoint below.
